header file
In: file types
This is a specific file serving for positioning of the particular results within the result file. Its existence is forced by complicated structure of elements and related results of the FE-model. If we are e.g. working with stress tensor results at nodes of triangular shell element, the FE-code defines results at six locations - 3 tensors at each node at the bottom and top side. The header file with a help of the appropriate element file relates the position in the result file to the particular position at the node of the element. In PragTic, the header files are used by result files and by fatigue damage files.
The header file existence is evident only with the use of ASCII Printout or View Database commands. The header file data_vectors themselves have no image in the data_base tree structure.
